Co-creating collaborative research

Doctoral School of Human Sciences  2015 10 23-24
Designing crazy patchworks: Co-creating collaborative research A TAOS workshop in collaboration with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Social constructionist ideas have been increasingly used to inform research practices. It draws on a relational paradigm, which emphases the way in which people in relationship and local knowledge are forming the reality around us. By highlighting the idea that all (also the academic) knowledge is co-constructed, researchers are stimulated to reflect about their own roles in that co-construction process.
This 2-days workshop focuses on new research practices based on transforming Social Constructionist principles into action forms of research. By presenting examples of collaborative, relational and participatory research practices, we will show how multiple voices can co-create research and generate transformative practices. All participants will be invited to bring in their own research experiences and to connect these experiences with social constructionist theory.
When: 23-24 Oct 2015

Where: VUB, Campus Etterbeek, Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels, Belgium.
